Position Title: Advanced Practice Provider: Physician Assistant/Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner - MOUD

Salary: Hourly: $45.67 || Annually: $95,000.00

Minimum Requirements:
  • Graduation from a Physician Assistant Program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the physician assistant

AND

  • A current Pennsylvania Physician Assistant license certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.


OR

 

  • A master's degree in nursing from a college or university program accredited by the National League for Nursing

AND 

  • Possession of a current license from the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing as a registered nurse

AND 

  • Possession of Certification as a registered Nurse Practitioner Certification (CRNP) in an area of specialty from the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing

Condition of Employment

Purpose

To establish open competitive and promotional eligible lists for use in making merit system appointments in the Allegheny County Health Department. The list will contain the names of successful candidates ranked in the order of final earned ratings. The list will be in effect for one (1) year unless previously exhausted or superseded.

In the ranking, open competitive applicants qualifying for Veteran’s Preference receive an additional ten points on the final earned rating. Form DD-214 must be attached to the application form for consideration for Veteran’s Preference. Determination of Veteran’s Preference is made in accordance with State Civil Service Policy.

Position Summary:

This is an advanced professional healthcare position focused on the evaluation and treatment of patients. The Advanced Practice Provider provides medical diagnosis, evaluation, and management in collaboration with and under the direction of the Public Health Physician and Deputy Director of Clinical Services, a PA licensed physician, using mutually agreed upon medical protocols. Work is performed with a high degree of independence. The Public Health Physician/Deputy Director will evaluate the performance and clinical practice of this position.
