- A master’s degree in public health (M.P.H.), public administration (M.P.A.), business administration (M.B.A), or a field related to public health, health or management; AND six (6) years of experience in management preferably in public health or health care with 1-2 years of public sector experience.
OR
- A bachelor's degree in public health, public administration, business administration, or a field related to public health, health or management; AND seven (7) years of experience in management preferably with 1-2 years of public sector experience.
OR
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Graduate training at the doctoral level may be substituted for the Master's Degree or experience on a year for year basis up to five (5) years.

Condition of Employment
It is the policy of Allegheny County that in order to receive a final offer of employment, candidates must successfully pass a background check, which includes verification of Allegheny County Real Estate Tax status, and drug/medical examinations as required for the position. The pre-employment drug screen must be completed within 48 hours of the acceptance of the conditional offer of employment.
