Salary: $43,260 to $46,500 per year

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Political Science, Legal Studies, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.

Position Summary:

Allegheny County Economic Development (ACED) is a dynamic, multidisciplinary economic development agency serving the citizens of Allegheny County. Under the supervision of the Manager of the Operations Division, the Contract Coordinator is primarily responsible for preparing, processing, and monitoring grant agreements and/or contracts. This position also administers County insurance requirements on all Department agreements and contracts. Additionally, Incumbent assists the Manager with implementing grant and other related monitoring programs.



Overview:


Duties:

  • Prepares various legal forms, official documents, grant agreements, contracts, and amendments for the Department.
  • Provides training and support to Project Management staff in preparing Scopes of Services and Executive Actions.
  • Advises Departmental staff on Federal, State and County legal requirements.
  • Administers and monitors the County’s insurance requirements for all Department agreements and contracts.
  • Researches latest regulations and County insurance policy changes and updates Contract Forms.
  • Monitors location of legal documents as they flow through the system.
  • Serves as the Administrator of the County’s Action Tracker system.
  • Creates and maintains Contract/Executive Action Database.
  • Oversees clerical functions of Contracts Office as necessary.
  • Assists in the coordination of project monitoring and site visits.
  • Drafts reports for the Operations Division.
  • Coordinates Departmental records management and retention.
  • Implements internal project and records management system to ensure fiscal integrity and to meet reporting requirements.
  • Supports other staff members, when needed.
  • Performs related duties/special assignments as assigned.

Knowledge of:

  • Contractual process, business law, and insurance terminology.

Skill in:

  • Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

  • Interact professionally with supervisors, co-workers, and outside agencies.
  • Work as a team member with other divisions and perform self-directed tasks.
  • Adhere to Department/County policies and procedures while working under minimal supervision.

Residency: Allegheny County within 1 year.
