Position Title: Application Supervisor

Salary: $79,000-$82,000 per year

Minimum Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Business Administration from an accredited institution AND three (3) years of leadership experience in planning and managing a software configuration/administration team. An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be substituted.

Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Application Support Manager this position provides technical leadership to the application support team. The Application Supervisor leads a team of application analysts in the daily technical support of applications in addition to defining scope of work and objectives for new projects. The Application Supervisor oversees daily operations, acts as the liaison between staff, upper management, and business partners, and works closely with the team to maximize partner satisfaction.



Overview:


Duties:

  • Leads the application management and custom configuration activities of a team of application analysts.
  • Documents and maintains environment architectural diagrams.
  • Prioritizes and assigns tasks to team members, coordinating with other departments to ensure task completion.
  • Manages timely resolution of day-to-day technical issues utilizing IT resources as needed.
  • Develops project plans for upgrades and enhancements.
  • Sets and communicates clear team goals, delegates tasks, and enforces deadlines.
  • Listens to team member feedback and resolves any issues or conflicts.
  • Identifies training needs and provides coaching to team members.
  • Supervises technical and functional resources.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders.
  • Evaluates existing work processes and implements change to streamline operations as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of:

  • IT procedures and policies.
  • ITIL configuration management principles.
  • SDLC processes.
  • Agile methodologies.
  • Packaged software applications.

Skill in:

  • Microsoft Excel, Word, Visio, Project, PowerPoint, Planner, and OneNote.
  • Systems analysis training.
  • Reporting and data analysis tools such as SSRS preferred.

  • Communicate professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, subject matter experts, analysts, and users regarding operations and personnel utilizing effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Manage functional, UAT testing and provide on-going issue management.
  • Interpret department requirements and translate them into application and operational requirements.
  • Engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
