Under the general supervision of the Golf Course Facility Manager of the Allegheny County Department of Parks, The Golf Course Facility Assistant Manager position is responsible for assisting and directing all operations at the golf course(s) for the evening/night and weekend shifts and/or in the absence of the Manager. This position is located at South Park.

• Supports the Golf Course Manager in all operations and duties of the facility; assists Manager, as requested, in hiring activities and scheduling staff appropriately.
• Oversees, trains, and instructs evening/night and weekend shift staff.
• Organizes and coordinates golf leagues and outings, and special events as necessary.
• Enforces rules and regulations to ensure a safe recreation environment for patrons of the facility.
• Inspects golf course and facility to ensure proper operating and playing conditions and reports any concerns to the Manager.
• Accounts for all revenue received and ensures daily deposits are made and assists in record keeping and preparation of financial and attendance reports.
• Promotes favorable public relations and instructs employees in the application of tact and courtesy in dealing with the public.
• Reports all service or maintenance requests to the Manager.
• Ensures golf carts are cleaned and safe for operation and keeps inventory of needed supplies and materials.
• Secures facility at the end of each day.
• Performs other duties as necessary or assigned.
