Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or its equivalent AND three (3) years of administrative support or professional clerical experience.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
- Experience working in the fields of healthcare or corrections is preferred.
Act 33/34 clearances are required prior to appointment at the cost of the applicant.

Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Director of Substance Use Programs, the Healthcare Administration Coordinator: Behavioral Health, provides administrative and clerical support to various areas within the Behavioral Health Unit of the Allegheny County Jail to assist in the efficient and effective provision of health-related services.
Overview:
Duties:
- Coordinates patient care, including admissions and discharges, to support patient needs within the Substance Use Treatment team.
- Performs administrative and clerical tasks that assist in the daily operations of the Director of Substance Use Programs.
- Prepares, collates, processes, and maintains a variety of records.
- Manages mail and correspondence with outside parties and/or within the jail.
- Collates, formulates, types, reviews, edits, proofreads, and enters data, information, reports, and documents; provides research assistance.
- Provides relevant information to supervisors, staff, visitors, community agencies, etc., as directed and Compiles, generates, and disseminates spreadsheets, reports, and documents.
- May take dictation and transcribe highly sensitive and/or confidential information, maintaining the confidentiality of patients.
- Organizes the management calendar, scheduling and coordinating meetings or activities as required.
- Maintains computerized tracking, filing, and other recordkeeping systems as requested or required.
- Oversees, troubleshoots, and operates all necessary office equipment and orders necessary program supplies.
- Coordinates travel arrangements and related expenses as required.
- Assists the Substance Use programs as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Office equipment.
- Principles and practices of professional business office operations.

- Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, Access and PowerPoint.
- Electronic Health Records.

- Utilize office equipment (copiers, scanner fax comps, etc).

- Adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks in a stressful environment.
- Learn & utilize county software and computer programs.
