$80,000- $82,400 per year

Minimum Requirements:
- An associate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration/Management, or related from an accredited institution AND two (2) years’ experience performing the functions of a business analyst.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
A valid driver’s license is required at the time of appointment.

Position Summary:
Under the direct supervision of the Senior Project Manager, the Business Analyst is responsible for the design, implementation, and deployment of applications on assigned platforms.

Duties:
- Elicits requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, cases, scenarios, business analysis, and task and workflow analysis.
- Critically evaluates information gathered from multiple sources, reconciles conflicts, decomposes high-level information into details, abstracts up from low-level information, and distinguishes user requests from the underlying true needs.
- Communicates and collaborates with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements including flowcharts, data flow diagrams, pseudo code, entity relationship diagrams, explanatory narrative, Screen and Interface designs.
- Delivers functional requirement artifacts as needed.
- Facilitates communication and gains commitment to align solutions with business strategies.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of:
- Researching and resolving problems with the use of application software in a live environment.
- Traditional System Development Life Cycle.
- Web development and desktop front-end software, middle-tier components, and back-end database tables and procedures.
- Principles of structured and object-oriented analysis.
Skill in:
- Microsoft Excel, Word, Visio, Project, Planner, OneNote, and PowerPoint.
Ability to:
- Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute plans.
- Communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
- Interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
- Develop and deliver training to end users.
- Manage and document an organized testing process for business processes, new applications, application changes and bug fixes.
- Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
- Work with the vendors to research and resolve problems.
- Be the liaison between the business units, technology teams, and support teams.
- Communicate project status and interact with end users through formal status reports, project tracking system, time entry, and informal updates as requested.
- Use reporting and data analysis tools and business applications such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Purchasing, Human Resources, or Payroll.
- Demonstrate strong analytical and product management skills.
