Minimum Requirements:
High school graduate or its equivalent and one (1) year basic data entry experience. Integrated Assessment System (IAS) application software knowledge or experience is preferred.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.

Position Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Board Administrator and Appeals Coordinator, this position is responsible for accurate, prompt entry and verification of data entered into the Integrated Assessment System, along with processing new property information in order to maintain up to date electronic records for use by the Board Administrator (BPAAR), other county departments, and the public.
Overview:
Duties:
- Updates real property and/or appeal records.
- Enters and verifies data into IAS.
- Schedules appeal hearings, including valuation, exemption, PURTA, and abatement appeals.
- Assists in preparing mailings of notices of appeal hearings and final dispositions.
- Interfaces with other county departments and/or the public as necessary.
- Perform other clerical and data entry duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of:
- Basic data entry functions.
- Basic clerical functions including operating office equipment.
Skill in:
- Microsoft Office Suite.
- Integrated Assessment System (IAS) application software knowledge or experience (preferred, but not required).
Ability to:
- Work efficiently and meet deadlines.
- Handle data entry and tasks with attention to detail and quality orientation.
- Interact and work collaboratively with team members.
- Communicate well orally and in writing.
- Sit for extended periods of time in front of a computer screen.
Residency:
Allegheny County within 1 year.
