- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted

Position Summary:
The incumbent serves as the liaison person between the admissions department and points of contact for all external public relations and community efforts for the Kane Regional Centers. Work is performed in accordance with Federal, state and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern long-term care facilities, and under the direction of the Admissions Manager.
Overview:
Duties:
- Markets the Kane Community Living Centers healthcare and rehabilitation services through presentations and sales calls to physicians, hospitals, personal care/assisted living facilities, health fairs, legislative offices, community groups, and the general public.
- Identifies new referral sources and continues with current sources to maintain and build positive relationships leading to admissions at the Kane Community Living Centers.
- Implements customer-oriented selling techniques when marketing to both new and current referral sources.
- Targets participation with community-based organizations that results in increased positive visibility for and understanding of the Kane Community Living Centers’ mission.
- Maintains and updates records of admission activities through electronic database and summarizes all marketing efforts in graph and written reports.
- Promotes collaboration with the Admissions Department; participates in weekly meetings through exchange of referral source and admissions information.
- Assists external and internal marketing/advertising firm in development of brochures, handouts, video presentations, and other marketing-related venues.
- Plans, develops, and executes internal communication avenues with employees to provide information on Kane activities, services, and initiatives.
- Makes use of demographic and psychographic data to target communications pieces to our target consumer audience base.
- Consults with upper management and staff on suitable topics for news releases and suggested approaches to inform the general public of Kane activities and initiatives.
- Reviews and approves the selection of promotional items for use in employee motivational initiatives and awards, or for distribution to the general public in promoting the Kane Community Living Centers.
- Participates in community meetings and activities to explain or provide information on Kane Community Living Center activities, volunteer-related services, and initiatives.
- Prepares an annual report of activities.
- Performs related duties as requested or assigned by the Admissions Manager or the Executive Director.
