Waiving Healthcare Coverage
If you waive participation in all health, dental and vision benefits, you may be eligible for a monetary payment for waiving coverage. Enrolling in the Bonus Waiver is required each year during Open Enrollment at My Allegheny County Benefits in order to be considered for the monetary payment.
Unless otherwise stipulated in a union contract, county employees eligible for healthcare benefits by virtue of their relationship to another county employee shall not be eligible to receive payment for waiving benefits. You must be an
active employee at the time of payout in order to be eligible for the Bonus Waiver payment.
