Position Title: Workflow Coordinator

Salary: $42,822-$47,811 per year

Minimum Requirements:
  • An associate degree in a related field, along with a minimum of one (1) year of coordination experience and/or staff supervision AND a minimum of six (6) months experience in working with a database-driven computer application, preferably a computerized mass appraisal system.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
  • Prior work experience within Office of Property Assessment (OPA) is strongly preferred.

It is the policy of Allegheny County that in order to receive a final offer of employment, candidates must successfully pass a background check, which includes verification of Allegheny County Real Estate Tax status, and drug/medical examinations as required for the position. The pre-employment drug screen must be completed within 48 hours of the acceptance of the conditional offer of employment.


Position Summary:

Reporting to the Program Administrator, this position is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and timely completion of a wide variety of tasks performed by the Office of Property Assessment (OPA), including both in-office and in-field tasks. Both categories of tasks require the day-to-day accurate tracking of each task within the mass appraisal computer system (IASWorld). The tasks may be driven by automated or manual processes.



Overview:


Duties:

  • Create, assign, and distribute assignments to staff.
  • Daily monitoring and intervention of workflow statuses.
  • Provide monthly and as-needed status reports to management.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and training for data entry staff.
  • Work with Office of Property Assessment (OPA) management to prioritize assignments.
  • Work with all levels of OPA staff to assist with the timely completion of their tasks.
  • Interact with municipal sources of building permits.
  • Participate in special projects and perform other managerial or administrative duties as needed.

  • Basic operations of OPA and property valuation.

  • Microsoft Office products.

  • Understand OPA business processes including the criteria that drive each task workflow.
  • Maintain organized and meticulous records.
  • Multi-task efficiently and meet deadlines.
  • Work well independently and in a team environment.
  • Communicate well with staff having a wide variety of skill levels.

Residency: Allegheny County within 1 year.
