$93,000 to $117,000, commensurate with experience

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field
- At least three years of experience in employee engagement, talent development, or organizational culture roles.
Preferred:
- Experience in the government sector or public sector organizations is preferred.
- Professional certifications such as Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP).

Position Summary:
The Employee Engagement Manager leads and supports the Employee Engagement team in executing initiatives that enhance internal employee communications, employee development and training programs, onboarding processes, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programming. This role oversees employee recognition efforts, performance management systems, employee events, and community service opportunities such as the United Way Campaign. Operating under managerial supervision within the Human Resources department, the position fosters a positive and productive organizational culture through collaborative leadership and coordination.
Overview:
Duties:
- Administers organizational policies and procedures related to employee engagement and ensures compliance with internal regulations.
- Supports and manages projects including leadership development initiatives, onboarding improvements, and DEI activities through planning, coordination, and facilitation.
- Collaborates with internal departments, external partners, and community organizations to align and promote programs such as employee events and community service opportunities.
- Collects, analyzes, and maintains data on employee engagement metrics, program participation, and performance management outcomes.
- Prepares reports for leadership to guide decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Supervises assigned employees by providing clear direction and guidance, ensuring accurate and timely completion of work in alignment with established guidelines and expectation, while fostering a supportive, collaborative environment that encourages employee growth and development.

- Solve complex challenges related to employee morale, communication strategies, and program logistics within a dynamic organizational environment.
- Operate with moderate autonomy, making routine decisions independently while receiving overall guidance and direction from senior management.
- Exercise discretion in managing projects and employee programs within established policies, procedures, and strategic goals.
- Influence departmental culture and employee engagement outcomes, which in turn affect organizational performance and employee retention.
- Lead the development of programs, DEI efforts, and satisfaction initiatives to contribute towards a positive workplace environment county-wide and supports strategic organizational objectives.
- Direct supervision of the Employee Engagement team, providing guidance, conducting performance evaluations, and supporting professional development.
- Coordinate with other departmental staff involved in engagement-related activities to ensure cohesive program delivery.
