Position Title: JDE Project Associate

Salary: $47,000 - $57,000 per year commensurate with experience.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or information technology, or equivalent experience with some professional experience in an information technology department or similar role.

Position Summary:

As part of the JD Edwards Service Center, this staff member provides solutions to users of Allegheny County’s financial / payroll software system. By utilizing business knowledge and technical skills, they act as an internal consultant to help users solve their business problems. The JDE Project Associate receives general daily supervision from the JD Edwards Service Center Manager and Assistant Manager. This is a full-time position in a typical office environment. Remote work may be permitted two to three days per week upon management approval.



Overview:



Duties:

  • Works with users to document workflows and procedures.
  • Prepares training manuals and participates in user training.
  • Coordinates user and internal testing.
  • Schedules meetings, creates agendas, and records minutes on behalf of team members.
  • Serves as primary telephone and email support for the JD Edwards Help Desk.
  • Logs and responds to requests via telephone or electronic communication in a timely manner.
  • Researches questions using available information resources.
  • Ensures timely follow-up to all assigned work.
  • Provides project assistance to other team members as requested.
  • Creates reports using DAS reporting tool.
  • Interviews and gathers high-level client requirements to translate into detailed project plans.
  • Creates project charters and project status reports on behalf of project managers.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of:

  • Financial accounting and payroll concepts.

Skill in:

  • Microsoft Office Suite with advanced use of Microsoft Excel.
  • JD Edwards or similar accounting software.

Ability to:

  • Understand financial accounting and payroll concepts.
  • Understand JD Edwards or similar accounting software.
  • Perform all tasks using Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Provide effective written and oral communication across all levels of management and staff.
  • Organize and prioritize multiple tasks and successfully meet deadlines.

Residency: Allegheny County within 1 year.
