Position Title: Workflow Coordinator

Salary: $44,000 - $49,000 per year

Minimum Requirements:

An associate degree in a related field, along with a minimum of one (1) year of coordination experience and/or staff supervision AND a minimum of six (6) months experience in working with a database-driven computer application, preferably a computerized mass appraisal system. Prior work experience within Office of Property Assessment (OPA) is strongly preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.

It is the policy of Allegheny County that in order to receive a final offer of employment, candidates must successfully pass a background check, which includes verification of Allegheny County Real Estate Tax status, and drug/medical examinations as required for the position. The pre-employment drug screen must be completed within 48 hours of the acceptance of the conditional offer of employment.


Position Summary:

Reporting to the Program Administrator, this position is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and timely completion of a wide variety of tasks performed by the Office of Property Assessment (OPA), including both in-office and in-field tasks. Both categories of tasks require the day-to-day accurate tracking of each task within the mass appraisal computer system (IASWorld). The tasks may be driven by automated or manual processes.



Overview:


Duties:

  • Create, assign, and distribute assignments to staff.
  • Daily monitoring and intervention of workflow statuses.
  • Provide monthly and as-needed status reports to management.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and training for data entry staff.
  • Work with Office of Property Assessment (OPA) management to prioritize assignments.
  • Work with all levels of OPA staff to assist with the timely completion of their tasks.
  • Interact with municipal sources of building permits.
  • Participate in special projects and perform other managerial or administrative duties as needed.

Residency: Allegheny County within 1 year.
