Minimum Requirements:
- A high school diploma or its equivalent AND three (3) years of experience performing data entry. Experience working with the general public and knowledge of the fixed route systems of the city of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County is preferred, or
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.

Position Summary:
The Transportation Worker 2, Department of Human Services (DHS), Office of Behavioral Health (OBH)/Program Operations, under the general direction of the Transportation Worker Supervisor and MATP Operations Officer, for the Medical Assistance Transportation Program (MATP) deals extensively with the public in the performance of required duties. The Transportation Worker 2 possesses a thorough knowledge of all aspects of MATP.
Overview:
Duties:
- Completes the initial consumer's registration by obtaining pertinent information as to the applicant's need for medical assistance eligibility.
- Determines the applicant's need for medical transportation.
- Determines the appropriate mode assignment based upon the applicant's physical and mental ability to use various modes of transportation.
- Informs applicant of the Medical Assistance Transportation Program (MATP) policies.
- Updates/changes consumer information as needed.
- Inputs consumer's data and trip date into the MATP computer system.
- Reviews and monitors manifest, information on a daily basis.
- Records consumer service complaints and refers them to the Quality Assurance Coordinator.
- Places reservations with transportation carriers for standing orders and infrequent paratransit transportation requests.
- Performs special projects as requested by the Transportation Worker Supervisor or MATP Operations Officer/Administrator.

Residency:
Allegheny County within 1 year.
