Established by Article X, Section 6 of the Allegheny County Home Rule Charter. The principal goal of this Board is to administer the State and Federal Election Laws and to insure compliance with those laws. This Board is governed by an Act of June 3, 1937, P.L. 1333, No. 320. The Board consists of the the County Executive and the two at-large County Council Members. *In the event that a board member runs for elected office, the President Judge of the Court of Common Pleas will appoint a sitting judge to replace the member for that time.
