Established in 1964 by a Resolution of the County Commissioners, as stated in the Soil and Water Conservation District Law Act of May 14, 1945, P.L. 217. Provides technical advice on matters such as flood prevention; erosion and sedimentation, pollution control and preservation, development and improvement of agricultural land. Reviews plans for public and private sector construction activities throughout the County. Nine (9) members appointed by the County; Eight (8) represent both rural and public interests. The County Executive serves as the 9th member. Members serve a 4 year term.
