In November of 2023, David Bonaroti (D) was elected to Allegheny County Council to represent District 13. Born and raised in the Pittsburgh area (Oakmont), David received his undergraduate degree in Supply Chain and Information Systems from Penn State University’s Smeal College of Business.

David went on to obtain an MA from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh’s Katz Graduate School of Business. David was also an early participant in the "coding boot camp" movement, being one of the first cohorts to graduate from New York Code + Design Academy’s web development program.

Coupled with his previous education, this curriculum was the bedrock to build the technical skills that David uses today as a consultant in the private technology sector. As a volunteer, David has worked with the America Reads & Counts program and Literacy Pittsburgh.
