Mike Embrescia is a seasoned executive with a distinguished career in technology and commercial real estate.

Mike’s professional journey includes pivotal roles such as Chief Development Officer at Carnegie Robotics, where he oversees corporate growth, partnerships, and helps guide the strategic direction of the renowned company. His leadership helped reshape the company's sales and growth strategy, fostering new relationships with top commercial OEMs, defense contractors, and various groups within the U.S. Department of Defense.

Prior to his role at Carnegie Robotics, Embrescia served in various leadership roles in both technology and commercial real estate. Notably, Embrescia served as Executive Director at the Building Owners & Managers Association (BOMA) Pittsburgh, where he coordinated large-scale events and managed legislative affairs, contributing to the creation of several pieces of legislation, as well as helping to usher a Pennsylvania Supreme Court victory. His entrepreneurial spirit is evident in his founding of WorkDesq, LLC, a software-based technology startup.

In 2023, Embrescia was the Republican Candidate for Allegheny County Council’s District 5 seat; which represents Dormont, Mt. Lebanon, Bethel Park and Upper St. Clair. Despite losing that election, Embrescia instantly pledged his support for his victorious opponent, and continued his positive stewardship in the community.

Mike intends to leverage his talents to serve the council and the community. I would bring many strengths to the post, including my knowledge of real estate development, business creation, and company management. I understand the value of engaging stakeholders and collaborating with private businesses, foundations, funders, universities, politicians, and most importantly, the citizens. My energy and enthusiasm will help inspire our team and stakeholders to be bold and endeavor to always do the right thing.

A resident of Mt. Lebanon, Embrescia and his wife Jessica, an AHN Physician, arrived to Pittsburgh in 2007. The couple has established deep roots in the community and are proud to raise their two young daughters in Allegheny County.
